Well, this story gets worse. After leaving mutt-bitch, her Chinese Crested bitch and her Yorkie dog alone in the bathroom while everyone is at work day after day, she was a little surprised that they both got pregnant! She really didn't think both girls were in heat, there was no blood.

So her mutt has had her puppy (thankfully just one). It was a surprise birth (?!) and she never saw or has seen a vet. They have decided that since cute little Crested is going to have puppies in the next week or two that they must not bond with cute muttpuppy #1. They have decided not to name it, not to touch it, not to play with it, not to do anything that might make them like it because it must go when its ready ( most likely in less than 8 weeks).

She still keeps her 'stud' locked up with the girls when left alone. I asked her about spaying or neutering. There's no way she's going to neuter her boy or her crested (you know - can't run out of puppies).

I asked her about the crested going to the vet. Her response: she's so little she'll only have one or two and we can handle that.

I'm having a hard time being civil to her. There is nothing I can do or say to make her see what she is doing. Give me strength.

Why still be civil with her? She's obviously an idiot.

More like, HOW can you be civil with her?

You must be very patient.

Sometimes I wish I could just smack people who do things like this

I agree with those who said to not give up on rescue. I love rescuing and in fact started my own small dog and cat rescue. I look at it this way: if I was not involved with rescue who else would help them?

I would have told this woman off 10 times over for being a total moron. Co-worker or not.

But I'm a loud mouth about things like this lol

I vote for telling her the smart thing would be to have all of her dogs fixed & by her letting them have puppies she just killed the same amount whom are in a shelter waiting for homes.

I'm with Purple Poodle.

I'd find it very hard to not just lay some facts on the table for her.

You make a difference though, sheltering and placing ones needing a home. Don't forget them! and maybe that will help you not lock her in the bathroom!!!
