Default TV doorbells

Okay general aggravating rant about stupid advertisers who think it is a good idea for all of their stupid commercials to feature somebody ringing a doorbell. As smart as poodles are mine still jump up and run to the door when the doorbell rings. I am ready to watch tv with no sound.

Arrrrrrrrggggggghhhhhhhh. Maddening.

It took a while to get my mini to stop barking at the tv doorbell.. She still barks at the real one and she growls at tv dogs and other canines

I live in a tiny little ranch house and I don't have a doorbell. I still jump every time I hear those stupid commercials because I expect Darcy to freakout. I forget that he hasn't been sensitized to a doorbell. I have knocked into a wall now and again and he goes nuts thinking its a visitor.

HA!HA!HA! I can't even count how many times I answered my door because of the TV & Molly telling me "There's someone at the door Mom!" I should probably turn the TV off when I'm not watching it, but I tend to leave it on for the noise.(it's too quiet living alone!)
Always made me feel a little silly.......now I wait for a 'second' knock before answering!

Oh yeah, I hate it when they do that! Once Beau's heard a knock or doorbell -- real or not -- the only way to get him to stand down and stop barking is to open the door, look outside, and tell him, "It's okay, nobody's there." So funny that he needs to be reassured by daddy!

This is actually kinda funny because it reminds me of this telephone toy I had when I was little and whenever I would press the button it sounded just like my grandma's telephone and she would get up to answer it.

Used to get her pretty riled up.

Love the comment about yelling at the dogs to shut up - it's on T.V.! That's so me, too!! My three are FINALLY starting to not bark at the T.V. doorbell on that obnoxious commercial, but they still look up and look at me, as if I should get up and take care of it - lol!

Now, if the real doorbell rings, all bets are off...sigh...
