My favorite animal is the Giant Anteater.
I've hiked in the Himalayas, camped in the Amazon, and swam with a sea lion in the Galapagos Islands.
I slapped hands with Ozzy Osbourne during a concert.
I've spent thousands of hours of my life practicing the guitar and still suck at it.
As part of a volunteer program to help ecologists monitor frog populations, I learned to identify the 21 species of frogs and toads found in west-central Florida by their calls.
---
I have to say, I am blown away reading everyone's posts. What an amazing group we have!!

Great thread!
I have 3 brothers and 3 sisters. All but one brother live in the same town as my husband & I. For over twenty years, whoever can make it gets together for lunch on Saturdays - sometimes there are upward of 15 of us (with our parents, our spouses, kids, kids' kids) sometimes there are 3 - depends on who is in town and available. We LOVE our family lunch day!! (Oh, and then the girls - mom, sisters, nieces, daughter, etc, get together on Sunday afternoons for coffee!!) We're a weirdly close family
I rescue... All of our cats are rescues, two of our dogs and two of our horses were rescued. I also foster orphaned dogs/cats in my home as I'm able and find homes for them once they're spayed/neutered.
I was in a car accident on Christmas Eve (other driver's fault - failure to yield, she was speeding, had a suspended driver's license, carried NO insurance on her car and had 5 kids under the age of 10 in her vehicle!) My beautiful, paid-off Jeep was totaled, now have to look for a new ride - thinking about a dog show van, but will miss my 4WD!!! Car payments again...
I lost 75+ pounds and have kept it off for over a year. I treasure my no-cost 5:45 AM exercise classes with a bunch of friends a couple of mornings a week - I wish I could go EVERY morning! I feel STRONG after my classes!
I work for the North Dakota Secretary of State in the Business Registration Unit. The economy in North Dakota is still BOOOOMING and business are popping up all over the place - we're crazy busy and it doesn't look like it will let up any time soon!
I'm grateful for my family, my loving husband of almost 27 years, my gorgeous 22 year old (full time groomer! ) daughter, my fur-kids, and my job - I'm blessed!
Barb

Neat thread!
It's difficult for me to think of myself outside of poodles, dogs, or grooming. But I will try!
1. I'm 5'9", brunette, green eyed, and very fair skinned. I'm also the oldest of 10 kids.
2. Most people guess that I am 18....but I'm quite a bit older than that.
3. Beautiful animals make me cry.
4. I hate to run! Hate it...I can walk for miles, but don't ask me to run.
5. I have a strong dislike of other people's bare feet touching my own. It really grosses me out!
6. Don't have a boyfriend, never have.

Loved reading all of these!
1. I am an identical twin. My twin and I both work with animals. I'm a groomer, she's a vet tech.
2. I groomed as a teenager, then went to college to become an illustrator- got a job as a tattoo artist. Quit it all after a year to go back into grooming and haven't looked back.
3. When I was 15 me and my twin got a makeover on the Maury Povich Show (this was pre-not the baby daddy shows!!!)
4. I hate hair and had my head shaved for years. I want to shave it off so bad again but I'm a mom now and don't want my kids to be teased.

So interesting! Mom24, I wondered how 12 people could live in one house (from another thread); now I know they're your parents, brothers and sisters! MamaTiff, so cool! I just watched Maury this week for the first time while I was painting the house and I was shocked, I thought he did newsy items but this week the show that was on was something about did my neighbour have my husband's baby or something, lol! And Plumcrazy, sure hope you are feeling ok after your accident and don't have whiplash or some other long-lasting soft tissue injury. I'm sure that being in shape helped you in that instance.

Mom24....I come from a large loving family too(Italian)
Mamatiff...I always wanted a twin sister(I was the youngest girl, my nearest sis was 9yrs older than me)
Plumcrazy...I got T-Boned by a young girl who ran a red light cuz she was talking on her cellphone.....my car was demolished. (it also had been paid off)
Just June....I can't sing, but I do it anyway!
Pgr8...My sons had a Calif King & a Chukawalla(illegally) I had to raise mice to feed the snake & the lizard had a penchant for hybiscus flowers! Feeding day was a neighborhood event ....poor little mice! This was 30yrs ago!

Was a webmaster and function photographer by profession, now that I have retired I photograph birds and wildlife as far afield as Kariba (Zimbabwe) to most of South Africa's national parks! I live in a 150 year old village which is part of a RAMSAR protected wetland Nature reserve where cranes breed.
I was born in Rhodesia lived there for 35 years had 7 children now sadly 6, and 9 grandchildren.
My great grand parents were pioneers in Rhodesia.
I used to foster wild animals babies when growing up on the farm even an elephant once!
Sorry for the book!
