Default hotels

I just wanted to recommend the Loews hotels for traveling with your dogs. I stayed at one in Philadelphia for a few days last week. The staff was extremely accomadating. If asked, they would provide dog bowls, beds and treats. Upon checking in, they went over list of local dog supply vendors, parks to walk the dogs and vetenarians. I have never traveled with my poodle before. This was an incredibly positive experience. If you are wondering, there was some barking that could be heard but nothing extreme. It was actually pretty incredible since there was nearly fifty dogs there for a dog fashion show.

Thanks for sharing. We go to Austin every year to see our sons and hit the film festival and always take Indie and Lady . We go the same La Quinta Inn in a beautiful area...we put the "do not disturb" up and do not allow the maids in, but we always have a great time. It's good to know that there is another hotel we could use when we travel elsewhere!

I've stayed in the La Quinta Inn in Austin (next to capitol) with my two cats. No pet fee and they were great about me having cats, and even said the cats don't have to be crated. The only stress was when we were trying to check out, we lost one of the cats in the room. My husband was about to have a heart-attack and start crying. We searched everywhere in the tiny room and were scared he might have escaped out the door! Turned out he was hiding between a tiny space between the mounted headboard and the bed frame. He's a master at hiding!

Oh, how scary! I guess it would be better to have a crate or something to hold them in until they get into the car...?

We have been to that La Quinta, but the really cool one is on Mopac, next to the foothills, so beautiful, just a wonderful place to walk them....it sort of of heralds spring for us...
Glad that kitty got found!

They would hate it in a crate. All they do is sleep on the bed though, but I guess while we were packing and talking he decided to play a little trick on us. We also took him to a relative's place and we lost him again. But this time he hid in plain site. He was sitting on big shelves, and we looked there three times yet didn't see him. Cats are so funny - they think if they can see you, you can see them. I believe he's mischievous because he's a boy! My female cat is so good and listens so well. We haven't taken our spoo to a hotel yet, that will be very interesting when we do!
