I use only CHI products for my own hair (pomade, hairspray, shampoo, conditioner...though I do use Paul Mitchell Skinny Serum and pomade once in awhile xD)

I love CHI because there was a time when I dyed my hair constantly, bouncing from one spectrum to another and my hair was FRIED >.< after trying a ton of different shampoos and conditioners my hair dresser recommended that I use this CHI shampoo formulated for colour treated hair specifically and it ROCKED (I've since moved onto a different kind but still CHI through and through )

Faerie, look into Paul Mitchells skinny serum...you use an itty bitty bit after you towel dry your hair and then you blow dry the hair and it makes it so luscious and soft!!

I don't wash my hair everyday, if you colour your hair at all its especially damaging to remove the natural oils everyday (now if you're getting grimey or sweaty like Rowan said...then you should probably wash it xD)

My vote for best people shampoo is the Phytologie line. It's been my favorite for years. Great for dry processed hair, too. Phyto-USA > Home

I use Wen (the lavender one). I hated it at first because my hair felt greasy as soon as I got it dry! But, then I read or saw somewhere that you are suppose to rinse and repeat! Well....that made all the difference! I LOVE it! My hair is so soft and even the next day it's not oily at all!

Great topic, tokipoke. It occurred to me the other day that I'm putting more effort into choosing products for Angie than I am for myself...lol. I too am looking to try some new shampoos and conditioners, so I'm following this thread with interest.

I'm also very interested to see what others are using. I had to stop using the Nioxin brand now that it's gotten colder because the shampoo dries out my scalp. I've been using a sulfate-free generic brand so looking to purchase something new and nice. I have a hard time spending money on myself when it comes to buying beauty products, but no problem spending $$$ on products for my poodle. I don't even own a decent brush or comb and I just ordered two LP brushes for my dog!
