Our wonderful moderator, Plumcrazy, came to Canada for a holiday!!
Plumcrazy, our wonderful moderator, who happens to be my very best friend, arrived in Toronto with her incredible, understanding husband, for a six day holiday with us. We had such a blast, and I am so sad to have said goodbye to them yesterday.
Last Saturday we had a gathering at my home with some Poodle Forum friends and mutual Facebook friends. Truelovepoodles and her hubby Lorne, Virginiathenurse, her hubby Larry and their Spoo James, Rayah and her husband Barry, Trillium and our new puppy Cayenne, my daughter Amanda and Grandson Everett all shared the afternoon with Barb and Dave and Bruce and I outside in some scrumptious, unbelievable weather, enjoying chili and tons of goodies everyone brought. All of the dogs got along beautifully and it was such a gift for everyone to spend time getting to know one another.
The timing of the visit was just wonderful as it was the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend, so how lovely to share that with one of the people I am most thankful for!!
We took several day trips to some of the local wonders of nature, and went to Toronto and walked around the Distillery District and went to another FB friend's home to have lunch with her, her hubby and their toy Poodle. We got to sample some lovely Arabic pastries. Mmmmm...
My heart is heavy with them gone, but we are already planning their next visit and look forward to being together again. Thanks everyone for making our gathering so pleasant. I love you Girlfriend!!!

WOW!!! We really did a LOT on our visit, didn't we??? Thanks for posting these pictures - I know I have some good ones on my camera too (like the spider in the crevasse that I'm trying to take a picture of when it looks like I'm all contorted into the rocky ground!! At least you didn't post the "infamous" hiney pictures here!! Thanks for that!!)
Once I get my pictures off my camera and on the computer, I can add a few to our pictorial! Canada is a beautiful country with beautiful people and I can't wait to return again soon! My personal trainer friend has threatened me with a "weigh-in" tomorrow afternoon - so I'll see how badly I transgressed in the calorie department... every pound was worth it though!!
I was thoroughly delighted to meet some other forum members in person, too! Some for the first time and some for the second! It was a wonderful gathering with people who share a common passion... POODLES (and FOOD!!) I hope that I can build deeper friendships with the new folks we met on our visit. Thank you for your kindness and warmth!
Thank you, Arreau my friend, for your generous and welcoming hospitality; for showing us your amazing homeland, and for planting the wish in our hearts to come back soon!
(ps... and thank YOU Faerie, for helping me pick my wardrobe for one of our glorious days there!! Do you recognize a familiar logo?? )
