So, we had talked about a PoodleForum.com giveaway the other month... where we do picture contests, and other sorts of fun stuff to win prizes.

Amazon.com gift cards seemed like the best gift that way our friends across the pond can use the $ too.

I want to make sure we are going the right direction and have a few questions.

1. Who currently shops through Amazon.com ??

2. Does anyone want to be in "charge" of handling the contest details? (Posting the contest, coming up with new ones, handling the Polls/voting for new contests, etc.) This person will also need to be a moderator too.

3. Is anyone interested in a `points` system here on PoodleForum where doing certain things / posting will earn you points.... We then could have contests, or things you could "do" with your points, or things you could 'buy' with points too.

Contest Information
I`m thinking we`ll have a contest every other month to allow a lot of people to enter, and to keep the prize at a minimum of $25 gift card.

A lot more to come.

Give me your ideas of what you would like. I can't guarantee any or all will be implemented but I am open to suggestions.

host the contests and handling the details as well if you need someone.

Yep.

Voting for the winner will be done via a Poll on the forum, and even the person who starts it can vote and enter, and not rig or change votes

I`m gonna install the points / rewards type system and play around with it.

But basically you get points and rewards for TONS of things.

Replying to posts.
Starting new threads.
Being the last poster.
Sending PMs.
Tagging Posts.
Tagging Threads.
Posting in old threads.
Referring Friends.
Attaching Pictures.

And the list continues :high5:

What you can do with the points is not determined yet... but it will be forum related, gift card related, and other item related too.

It's a special calculated point system

More information to come once I make it actually have a meaning (only if you want to involve yourself with it either which way).

Basically you will get awards for points based on certain things we set awards for (to be determined).

You can also use your points to "Buy" things on the forum... which I am working on. Some ideas...
- Bold user Names
- Colored User names
- Custom titles
- More private message storage space
- Amazon Gift Cards
- Petsmart Gift Cards
- PetCo Gift Cards
- Etc.

Working on setting this all up.



Like I said, if you don't care about it... it doesn't negatively affect anyone either
