Not everyone is a tattoo person...but I am. I also have my tongue pierced. I got a new tatt yesterday. It did not hurt a bit...I almost fell asleep on the table/chair. It only took about 15 mins but it felt like a massage! So now I'm at 7 tatts. I am drawing one up now that is poodle based.
Here it is...Love is Evil...what do you think? (it goes nice with the Monkey face in my ear huh?) Also one with my sea turtle and bubbles on my foot (no black in this tatt...all colored ink)

I have 5 but wish I could get rid of two of them. I have 2 on my arm but think they make me look too tough. I had to wear long sleeves at work (@ a law firm) during the summer. I HATE being hot! I'd rather have a full sleeve than two that stand out alone. I'd love to have one of each dog though. I don't know if it would look good to mix themes. The problem with them is that what you like at the time you may not like later. Plus, even though I'm in my 50s and have a mind of my own, I told my mum I wouldn't get any more of them. I have a ship's wheel, a seagull on a piling, a woman rowing a boat, an ivy around my ankle (which covers a whippet head that looks more like a dobie & I'd love to have taken off), and an smallish mountain scene w/a campfire & teepee (which I'd also love to be removed). So, think hard before getting tats!
Faerie, I love the redheaded mermaid! I never would have thought to get white tats. I love them in white!!! I'm not sure how it would look on my freckled skin though.

Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or play with it... pee on it and walk away.
Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass; it's about learning to dance in the rain.
I want a few, though I'm only going to get them in naturalish colors, like rust reds, tans, and browns. Like a henna look?
My guilty pleasure is piercings right now. My lobes are gaged to a 0, and I have 5 additional piercings in my ears, so seven total. (: I had 9, but the last two I had done myself and I didn't like where I put them so I took them out.
You found a great artist, faerie. Friends have told me to do tattooing.. but I like having the ability to erase if I screw up.
I have 4 tattoos and quite a few piercings. My favorite piercing is probably the surface piercings on my chest that are under my collar bones.
My back: the colored ones are my dogs and oldest cat's actual pawprints (you can't see Lola's). The blue is for my mom's corgi/chi mix that we have "joint custody" of. I think I'm going to get one outlined in blue for New Dog or have it added.
My 2 leg/foot tattoos: The foot one is in memory of my favorite grandfather who always said This too shall pass, even when he had Parkinson's and cancer. The one on my ankle is in memory of his wife, my favorite grandmom. Her favorite flower was the dogwood blossom and her favorite bird was the cardinal.
My lower back tattoo: I designed all of my tattoos myself and this was my very first. The text is my name in Elvish (the language Tolkein created)
For my next one, I want this really cool phoenix design I found with some of the lyrics from The Beatles Blackbird

I LOVE those white tats Faerie. I am on the fence about a tatoo. I have a few extra ear piercings, I just had to take one out (again! same hole) after I must have traumatized the cartilage and it got all puffy and gross. My husband has the usual "sailor" tattoos. He currently has a red, blue and black nautical star that he is having done over in all red and black. He is in the process of getting two swallows (possibly Jerry Sailor design, or something more original). When he makes chief, he is going to get a fouled anchor. I'd love to get a tattoo, but not sure if I'm ready for something so permanant.
