Default photobucket vs flicker

With all of the 52 week threads, I've noticed that most people are using flicker, and I'm wondering what the difference is between flicker and photobucket. I have an account with both, but I've always just used photobucket, mainly because I started with them years ago and just haven't had a reason to switch over.

Are there benefits to flicker? I know when I uploaded some videos last week to photobucket, the colors came out all wonky. . . is flicker better quality? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I use my photobucket to upload personal photos, since my photobucket is private. Like, photos I choose to share or photos for my webpages. I put my dog pictures for public view on flikr

I've always used photobucket cos it's far easier to upload a pile of photos and flick them onto forums.

BUT, they do loose a fair bit of quality when you upload to photobucket compared to flickr, especially if uploading a larger file.

For snapshots I'm still using photobucket, but I'm switching to flickr for my 'good' photos cos it doesn't screw up the quality.

I'm also using flickr for my 52 weeks project cos there's a flickr group that I'm adding my photos to specifically for that project! lol
