Default FINALLY! New couch and rug!

We finally sold our oversized recliners on Craigslist, and only were without major places to sit for about 24 hours.

We got our newwwww couch from Craigslist also, and because the people wanted so badly to get rid of it, got a basically brand new couch for $150 (it sat in their formal living room so no one ever used it, and you can tell... plus, tags and warranty tags are still on this sucker!) Don't you love CL? It is an aqua color, and fits in nicely with the existing paint on the walls. Ahhh, renting. Oh, and the people we bought it from? Awesome. They delivered the couch for us and helped is move it inside and everything.

We had some extra from what we got for the chairs and bought (because there are no good area rugs on CL right now) a rug at Lowes.

Merry Christmas to us!

I would take a picture of it to show you, but I'm laying on it right now and I'm oh-so-comfy. A's pillows look great on it, by the way

Here is the picture that was on its CL ad:

So far, our DIY living room re-do has cost us nothing but the gas to go see the couch... oh and the time... listing and re-listing those darn chairs!

Thanks guys!

No buyers remorse yet... lol, just waiting for that cloud to start pouring rain! I rearranged the living room today while A was at work, and it all looks pretty good, if I do say so myself. Though, I couldn't decide if we should be blatantly "American" and have our living room focus on the TV, or the fireplace. I went with the fireplace, and the TV is off to the side (sort of right angled from the couch). We'll see if it sticks... I mean, one thing I love to do is rearrange furniture!
