Well Teddy's 2 week trial is over and, of course, they have adopted him. He is being just a good good boy for them. They can even leave him alone in the house for several hours and he doesnt get in trouble. They give him a long walk first and set him up with a frozen peanutbutter kong. Looks like we were all right about the exercise that he needs. Its good to know he is a happy boy. ON the other hand - I don't think Ginger is very happy -she wont eat her daily biscuit and picks at her food - I hope she gets over it soon. She has never actually been without another dog since she is born since before I got Teddy, we lived with my daughter and she has two minis. So we try to visit them and I take her for rides and walk when I can. She just seems very needy right now. Thanks again for all the support!

This fairy tale ending of "The Teddy Story" is wonderful beyond words! I know it will always be bittersweet for you, and it's understandable Ginger would react to the change in her world. Take heart, give her more time and keep her busy and let her enjoy being with other dogs when she can. There's no substitute for Teddy's steady companionship, of course. But her spirits will likely improve in time. If only Ginger could join a poodle forum and talk things over with other dogs, then she too could find comfort and support. But I'm certain you're already providing her with the very best of that. No matter how big a box of dark chocolate candies my dh gives me for Valentine's Day, nothing could be sweeter than hearing how well things worked out for Teddy! Hope you're doing okay, Pamela. Thanks so much for what you did for Teddy, for what you've shown others about really loving a poodle, and for the good news! Teddy is in a great home, may he live happily ever after!

Happy news! You know what you had to do, and for the love of Teddy you did it! Such a hard decision! Now you are being called upon to console your dear Ginger, and I know you are having 'heart to heart' talks with her, to let her know how much you miss him too! I know when I had to rehome my Cairns I felt sooooo guilty but I had no choice at the time (seriously ill) inside though, I had to admit that I was relieved !
So now it is time for you to take care of yourself and be happy again!
Love that all your stories are happy ones now!
