8 weeks is minimum also here in Europe,but I prefer 10-11 weeks .

I just got my puppy a week ago. She was 8 weeks old. I was going to wait a bit longer but after all the reading I did about socialization I decided to get her at 8 weeks.
Shes been really really great. She crates excellent and has only had one accident inside, which was really my fault. This morning its SO cold out I didnt give her enough time to do her poops. I should have waiting outside with her longer! Shes up at five and I was half asleep and freezing so I wasnt on the ball.
I was nervous the first 3 days as she wasnt drinking much or eating much. Shes turned that corner and is adjusting so well.
She was socialized with lots of children at the breeders so she thinks my grandson is a chew toy. We are working on her bite inhibition. That so far seems to be her only issue.
Ive been having lots of visitors come over to see her and also taking her out to safe places to see lots of strangers. Tonight my neice and her children come over for a visit and tomorrow she comes to work for a bit with me.
My girl is a mini poodle too. She weighs about 3.5 pounds right now. Been to the vets and so far so good. Good luck with your new little Noodle!

My boy stayed with his mommy at the breeder until he was 16 weeks old. We were unable to stay home during the day with him and thought he was too young to be at daycare until about 4 months old. He's a well adjusted happy guy, but, is sort of a mamas boy now

We brought Wade home at 8 weeks and I actually wish we had waited for 9 or 10 weeks, just so he'd get a little more rough and tumble (and bite!) time with his mates.

That said, the longer you wait to bring him home the longer you wait to get training underway. The young age is critical as they absorb so much. I wouldn't wait longer than 10 weeks.

I got Omar at 7 weeks (too young), Lila at 6 months (unsocialized as she was kept to be a breeder), Maggie and Nicholas at 3 months (they were easy to house break and very well socialized), and Penelope at 1 year. By far the best socialized is Penelope. She grew up with 12 other dogs both boys and girls and 2 humans and is an awesome little girl.

We brought Murphy home at 12 weeks. Having said that it wasn't until that time did we find each other. I would have brought him home earlier if I had the chance. BUT, I also think that socialization and basic training is well under way if the pup is still with the breeder ( if it is a good breeder). We were lucky to have Murphy very well socialized and some basic training already started.

We brought Little Anderson he at 12 weeks. We had asked the breeder to keep him a little longer because of a scheduling conflict on our part. They took the opportunity to start crate training for us.

I believe those extra weeks with his birth pack really helped cement some social skills as well as house and crate training.

His transition to our house was wonderful. We did visit him frequently in the last month or so before we brought him home.

Harry came home at 11 weeks. The lady who sold him said I could take him at 7-8 weeks after first shot. However I said I'd prefer to take him after the second shot. I sensed she wanted him to go sooner as he came from a litter of seven so she had her hands full a bit. however she agreed to my request as I pointed out if he came home too early and not be allowed out, then it be hard on both of us.

I picked him out at about 5 weeks old and she welcomed me to visit on a regular basis before taking him home. Plus asked me to set his name quickly so she could start using it. That was great as when he came home he knew his name.

11 weeks worked well for me. Plus I liked the fact he had time with other dogs, parents and siblings so more well adjusted. As a slightly dominant male needed him to be in the company of other dogs.

Lily was 14 weeks and it was fine. She was sickly so I've often wished I could have found her sooner so that I could have saved her sooner!

When I was searching for a puppy, I had a gal try to get me to take an 8 week old toy and it was tiny and I was terrified to even consider it.
