A little Firday Giggle
Talking to a friend about the cutie that just moved in down the street. She laughs and asks does he have Poodle Approval. I respond well not yet, but he wouldn't be such a cutie if Remington didn't approve. So this morning I am looking super cute, and we set out to go for a walk, just about the time he takes his golden out... I smile as we walk by, and he starts a conversation... So I stop to talk, until he leans over to pet Remington, who loves everyone... My darling poodle gave him a very toothy grin, with no growl... Then the guy steps closer to me, and there was the poodle growl... Remington and I headed back up the street: he was just prancing... Oh well... I guess I am going to stay single, as Remington believes that no one has met his standard yet HA!

Your story gave me a laugh! I've always heard to trust the dog's instincts, they can tell good people from bad people!
I had an encounter with my dog this past weekend, except my dog was super friendly and I essentially growled. We were having an easy jog around the neighborhood when a lady drove up along side us and kept pace. She rolled down her window and said, "OMG, that is so cute!" to which my dog was all smiles and wagging tail. I however, was not so enthusiastic, and said "OK. THANKS." but the look on my face was screaming, "GURL YOU ARE INTERRUPTING MY PUPPY TIME." She stopped smiling and drove away. My dog could teach me a thing or two about being friendlier, considering he was all happy.

I don't think I would have been that kind, as I would have been very uncomfortable with a car being that close to Remington and I walking or jogging...
Yes, I too agree to always trust the dog's reaction to people. I have learned that if Remington does not like someone, he usually has a great reason. He hated my ex, and now, I know why He was 100% on the mark... I laugh because the ex was scared to death of Remington...

I am not sure Remington would share his place on the bed... When my best friend from HS came up to see the house, Remington would not let him into my bedroom for anything.... Sigh, I think I am going to be the crazy old dog lady... Somehow I am very much okay with that... While I think my mother would really like to have grandchildren, I don't see it happening. Perhaps I can talk her into being okay with Remington as a granpoodle... This might be easier if they did not bump heads so much lol

Hey, being single and happy with a beautiful dog, the world is your oyster. I would certainly listen to Remington's instincts
I love my dog 365 days a year, I can't really say that about any man that has been in my life, ever. I wake up to my dog every morning, he hogs the bed, but I am so cool with that.... can't say that about any man, I love the sweet little snores my dog makes, men, not so much..... and has a man ever been as happy to see you as your dog when you come home?...I doubt it.
So tonight, when you are snuggled in your bed, be happy you are a crazy single dog lady, cause we are lucky to share our life with such beautiful animals. They make our hearts sing!
Remington can problably sense something you can't, or maybe he has just decided he wants you all to himself
