I have two toys. My breeder was willing to let them go at 9 weeks. I brought Beau home at that age with tons of instructions and a tube of Nutrical which I didn't need. I also could have contacted her at any time for advice and back up. Also she would take her dogs back for any reason and refund the purchase price. When I got Belle three years later, she was 4.5 months old. Another family who had one of my breeder's dogs thought they wanted her, but their boy was afraid of her. She was available, and I took my boy down to meet her. I don't think he was thrilled, but they were okay. I took her home with the breeder's assurance that if it didn't work she would take her back. If you find a breeder that is to your liking, you can work things out.
