Very interesting! I'm surprised they seemed to have such a problem with the poodle coat. I feel that as long as it clipped regularly its pretty easy to deal with. Certainly no more difficult than a golden retriever or a collie coat, which requires a lot more brushing. I do wish it had explained more about what jobs poodles did have. I used to have a collie, and I know that they found that collies couldn't be trained to be attack dogs so they were pretty much exclusively used as messengers. I can't really see poodles being very good attack dogs either!
