Mind Control
Well, finally, at 11 months, my guy Oliver tried it. I know you have all been there, but it was so darned cute I had to share. I was not, at the very moment, paying direct attention to Oliver (actually, I rarely take my eyes off him, but I was distracted at my dining room table with something). When I stood up, he blocked my pathway and stared me right in both eyes. He didn't move or jump up on me, he just very intently concentrated and stared, but it was a "kindly stare".
So, of course, I started asking questions like, "Do you need..........?" Little response, and then he seemed to just give up and eventually did go outside. But, I swear, to every question I asked, he was looking at me like, "Oh, geez mom, don't you get it? You are such an idiot."
My boy tried his first attempt at Telepathy; and I guess I failed the test! But it was so darned CUTE. At his age, he rarely focuses on anything for very long; and I rarely get the chance to look into his eyes the way he was looking right into mine.
This just melted my heart, but I could almost hear him saying....."Loooooooook into my eyes. Looooook deeply into my eyes. You are getting sleeeeeeepy; very sleeeeeeeepy." LOL I wonder what he might have wanted me to do, in a trance..............Hahahaha.
I DID look into his eyes.............OMG, I was SMITTEN As if I didn't love this boy enough, already; you just cannot imagine how this got to my heart. Hey, maybe it did work :-)

Do you guys think dogs really do this? I swear I had one who recently passed who did this all the time! She and I were super close.

Yes, poodles can stare right at you and try to make you understand. Not all dogs can do that. Lily will do that, but I never know what she wants. OK, well 95% of the time, she wants food. But I'm still trying to get into her head. It can be a little unnerving, don't you think. Or maybe it's because I feel bad I don't know what she wants.
Kukukachoo - good luck - can't wait to meet Daisy!

As I am reading this post Remington is laying with his head on my leg. Every few moments he gazes up as if to say; I love you Momma".
