strange looking dog, wanna play?
We had some early morning visitors. Walter loves it when they stop by but seems sad that they do not want to come in and play. There is a yearling that will come right up to the fence and go nose to nose with him. He just loves that.

Yeah, I wouldn't let that one off the bead, definitely not a yearling!
It's really brave... haha.
I love the pup checking him out.

yea, we have so many Mulie deer here that they are refered to as yard dogs. before I went up to ten feet with my fence it was nothing to find eight or ten deer bedded down in my yard. They have no fear of people because no one ever bothers them. The young ones are the ones that Walter likes so much, even when we are out walking they will let him come right up to them. But Walter never barks at them so they are not afraid of him. Worse thing about so many deer is the poop that Walter loves like I love chocolate. I hate having to pull it out of his mouth. LOL!!!

Wow, that is way too cute! An what a beautiful Mule deer. We usually don't see any of them here until at night when they munch on berries in my folks yard. That is incredible to have them so close!
