Ok, so Bug is odd....
Bug is the one who lets me know when something's not right in the house. When the AC froze over this past summer, it was Bug who kept running to the unit and barking at it to make me check. When the roof started leaking during a bad storm, it was Bug staring at the ceiling and barking. When the furnace started acting up, yup - Bug again let us know. Nice to have someone watching out for us all.
Anyway, after the service guy got it running again, I noticed half the air vents weren't blowing. The service guy said they don't handle ductwork and I'll need to call someone else. Good luck, everyone I called won't be free until next week. I'll be darned if I'm going to heat the entire neighborhood myself so, under the house I crawled. (EGADS! It's CREEPY under there!!!!!) I guess I am responsible for global warming. lol
So, made a fast trip to the hadware store, picked up stuff to attempt to patch it myself and crawled back into the nightmare. I left Bug in the house because he just got a bath and blow out yesterday (proud of myself, he's cute again!). I had to crawl back out to turn off the heat (it got HOT under there!) and then commenced to trying to put the floppy, heavy duct thingee back onto the big hot air blowing hole thingee (yeah, I'm not a heater service person lol). I guess me banging around cussing the duct thingee upset Bug in the house - he started barking into the air vent. Yeah, that was LOUD. So, I'm trying to finesse this thing back where it belongs while being yelled at by a very annoyed toy poodle. By the time I got it back where it belongs, he even had the parrots screaming at it.
Remind me that if I ever have to do something like that again to wear ear plugs. That barking and parrot screaming really gets amplified well though air ducts. lol
Poor guy is resting quietly beside me now, guess he wore himself out.

I am laughing my head off! What a smart boy he is! Now, you are very brave... I would never even venture under the house...

I with you on the barking dog and screaming parrots.......I was a parrot breeder for 25 years. Macaws, Umbrellas, Goffins, Amazons, & a aviary of little guys! I was known as the bird lady in my neighborhood. I am retired now, but I do remember the awful noise they made when something disturbed them! Deafning.........hehehehe!

Bug is my little hero. Such a cool little guy. And I actually appreciated the barking into the duct thing. Made me feel not quite so trapped and alone under there. Did I mention I'm mildly claustophobic? and there were things under there. Spiders aren't so bad when I can get away from them, but I was sort of trapped with them and gods only know what else......I'll have nightmares tonight, I'm sure. Good thing my little guardian angel sleeps with me.
