State Seizes Dozens of Endangered Dogs | NBC Connecticut

One report states many of the dogs are chihuahua's (sp?) and poodles, which is why I bother to post it here.

I'm not sure what the impact of this is going to be, given there are already so many animals in the region displaced by the storms.

These animals were seized from a facility with an SPCA sign.

According to the article they were seized from the director of the CT SPCA. It also mentions previous charges for "illegally importing animals." I know that they recently had an adoption event called "flying chihuahuas," where they were flying in small dogs, I believe from down south. The only reason I know of it is because they had a punch of poodle mixes listed on petfinder as part of that event. Some are still on petfinder. Heartbreaking! Wow.... It is sad that someone who says they are there to protect animals could allow them to be in such a bad situation. :( Wish I could temp. house a few...

all of those that are spca of CT in Monroe are likely the ones seized. I think they went directly to vet facilities for treatment. Unfortunately, the news here is good abotu reporting the incident, but not as great about following up to let people know what they can do to help...
