Puppy Adventures!
Ralph had an exciting evening. We took him to the pet store (which he loves) and was being super brave letting people pet him and he even sniffed out a kid (we are working on his child fears). We then took him to the off-leash dog park for the very first time. I was so nervous! Our dog park is HUGE. It has a walking trail all around it and a forest and it goes and goes. I was nervous about his recall-although he is good in the yard and stuff he has never been off leash anywhere but home. This dog park, although HUGE, is 100% fenced in. He did so well! He never strayed too far and was always "checking in" with us either by eye contact or coming right over. I practiced a few recalls just to see how he would react and he came bounding over right away. It was so awesome, so proud of my little guy! Then, on the drive home, Ralph decided to Ralph all over the back of the car Poor guy, I think it was just too exciting, OR he ate something nasty at the dog park (he's still at that everything goes in my mouth stage). Poor Ralph, guess we named him appropriately! LOL

I love our dog-park in the city! You kinda get to know which dogs (and people) are nice and which ones to shy away from. And the dogs love it! Glad to hear Ralph had a good experience, and hopefully you continue to enjoy this (Other than the "Ralphing" on the way home

It's great to hear Ralph is out there having so much poodle fun! The little "souvenir" of the day he shared in the car aside. (Aren't you glad you didn't name him "Pooh Bear"?!)

LOL CM! That was very witty!
Frank...Ralph is a lucky guy. So nice he got to go out and do things. I so wish we had a dog park ANYWHERE in a 50 mile radius. My dogs would LOVE it! Hopefully the next play day Ralph will be less inclined to christen the car.

Poor Ralph. He's never going to live that one down. Beau's only puked in the backseat once, in our week-old Prius, no less. Taught me to get up an hour early on the days when he goes to the groomer, so he can have plenty of digestion time before we get in the car. All I can say is, the Bissell SpotBot sure comes in handy.
