We lost Victoria to heart disease yesterday. She died peacefully in our backyard with me rubbing her belly. She looked up at the sky and then at me before laying down for her last breath as to tell me she was leaving me and going to puppy heaven.
We will miss her sweet demeanor greatly, but I know she is watching over all of us.

What a glorious way to go and so wonderful for you to have that be the final picture of Victoria. I know you will be very sad, but it sounds as though she must have had a great life. I hope you draw comfort from that.

I am offering you a heartfelt hug over the computers. Victoria's passing, with you by side, under the skies was a dignified way to exit this lifetime. I am sorry for your loss....my deepest condolences.
Awww...I'm so sorry for the loss of your lovely dog. It's such a hard thing to go through. It does sound like a peaceful passing. Lots of hugs to you. I hope your good memories and photos will give you comfort and keep her close to your heart. So sorry for you.
Properly trained, a man can be dog's best friend.
"If you love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen." -- Samuel Adams 1776
