Entirely different! She turns 2 tomorrow. She looks creamy brown in person. Like beige-ish or even apricot in some light. Not gray at all.

She is a very attractive colour -- this seems to be close to the 'golden sugar' colour most desired as the end point in silver beige. However, because she had a brown face as a puppy, I would say she is a light café. I would also say from the photographs that this appears to be quite a 'warm' colour, with a reddish cast on the ears and tail tip.
Café and silver beige are thought to be the brown equivalents of blue and silver, and although silver can sometimes be very dark and blue can sometimes end up very light, silvers are always defined as black puppies with silver faces after their first clip, so I suppose silver beiges should technically be designated the same way. How much they clear doesn't always seem to be related to when they start, which is how silver beiges can sometimes end up a grubby pewter colour, and cafés can go very light.

I'll look forward to watching for coat color changes with pictures of Finley, Charlotte, and Little Anderson. Will someone please tell me if they definately will change or is there just a possibility?

Wow! Millie is looking great! She is truly lovely! Remind me how old she was when she started to clear?

From what I've learned, most browns will fade. At 13 months Little Anderson is still very dark with a few stray light hairs on his chest. I love the adventure of waiting to see how he will change!!
I don't expect him to be as gorgeous as Millie!

At 6 months her rear started to hang color and it moved forward and down from there.

Did Millie ever have any white hairs or did she just gradually go a lighter brown?

I haven't posted in awhile, but just had Zoe groomed and I think she is finally starting to look more like a poodle! I am so excited. After being cut so short her 1st (and my only time since having her) time, I thought it would take so much longer to grow, but I was surprised!
I took her to Petsmart to be the example dog to show the grooming students how to groom a standard poodle. I was nervous, but since it was only the instructor doing all the grooming, and the student just observing, I gave it a shot. I was also excited that they wanted HER as their subject. She ended up being there for 4 hours and the manager of the grooming salon said she was amazing and wishes she had a dog like her. Yay!
Pictures were taken with my iPhone (except the last one), so excuse the quality. She is 17 months old.

She looks WONderful! I got a call from a groomer out from the East coast for a grooming competition and demo last weekend. My breeder recommended my dog. She wanted to use my girl, but alas mine is in a Miami. Not enough hair to work with, so we couldn't participate. :( It was so great that you got a free groom and your girl looks wonderful, too!
