I am including the progression of my angel. She started out chocolate, lightened greatly, then developed black and yellow stripes (okay - maybe Halloween had something to do with that.)
I am not sure what my girl is. A groomer called her silver-beige (and I thought she was crazy. Silver is the color of dimes and beige the color of sand. My Shasta wasn't close to either. This thread has educated me otherwise.) How light does the puppies nose need to be? I call her cafe' but an ex-boyfriend called her dirty dishwater brown.
I do have some observations after going through this thread. I have noticed a lot of the brown dogs with a white patch on their chest as puppies. And even though it is genetically nonsensical - a lot of the brown standards do seem to be on larger side. Mine is 70 lbs and had a good inch and a half on my parti. And when out on the town, my brown tends to be called a labradoodle or goldendoodle (of which she takes great offence.) Is there any legal basis for slapping people silly who say that?
