He is a gentle soul, doesn't really tug on anything. I have had feathers in her hair since I brought her home so he probably thinks its a part of her, maybe he thinks she is part bird..lol

22 weeks:

30 weeks old!!

Wow time flies!! I don't have a picture this week, but Aria is growing up so fast! Her butt hair is now very coarse and curling when she gets wet. I'm very sad to see her puppy coat disappearing and was hoping to hold onto it a bit longer, it's always been pretty thick and nice to scissor even though it is puppy hair. I can't believe how fast her hair is growing! But it's very exciting. She is becoming very obnoxious at work and barks at every poor dog who walks into the shop and even at some of my co-workers. I think she really enjoys the reactions she gets, and I have had to resort to a spray bottle and a quick squirt to the face every time. It hasn't seemed to set in yet that it happens when she acts like that.
We have a doggie daycare up the street who we have a good relationship with, and a lot of my clients go to them so I believe it's time for me to have a chat with them and have Aria go there on Fridays and Saturdays while I'm at work.
It dawned on me the other day that it has been about 3 1/2 months since Aria has had an accident in the house! I'm so thankful that went fast and painless.

23 weeks

31 weeks old:

Aria has entered that "teenage" stage. All my hard work with behavior and training has gone out the window and she thinks its SO funny how frustrated I get. I can almost hear her laughing at me. Lol

She still is my baby though and I know we will survive all her challenges.

I left her in my car a couple days ago and when I got back she smiled at me! I was so tickled! One of my favorite personality traits of standard poodles is the way most of them tend to smile at you. My old English sheepdog used to smile too, but every time he did it he would now his head and close his eyes and it was so freaking cute! I also loved how I would have to explain to people he was greeting them with a smile and not snarling at them.


Today I took her to her vet to get a weight on her and she is now 37.2 lbs

24 weeks

32 weeks old:

Been a really busy week. Aria is beginning to really get into routine with everyone and I've noticed she is beginning to calm a little. Of course, I still have to constantly remind her that paws don't belong on the counters and the cats don't like being chased all around the house, but overall she isn't as restless as she used to be and will go lay down in the evenings while we are watching tv or I'm helping my son with homework

25 weeks

33 weeks old:



Aria's new collar from PoodleIT arrived today!! She is very excited!!!

Aria is so special to us and everyday she becomes more and more special (didn't know that was possible..lol) she is such a LOVE and so damn smart and sweet. I can't believe how big she has gotten.
