Lupin news really will begin Sunday June 12th 2016!
I cannot say much about the first 8 weeks, since I have no photo and have not seen him, but my husband and I are very excited he will soon be with us. I will try to post a photo next week!
Tonight we will pack for the 5-hour drive, sleep over then pick him up at the breeder's place early on Sunday morning!
I hope this post goes through from my laptop, because on ipad two attempts failed the moment I clicked submit. So I am skipping other details but I look forward to posting about Lupin, our light apricot male min-poodle puppy, in his week 9!
Thanks to all for this lovely forum where I can share poodleness! What can be more fun! Signing off June 10th - for now.

Wonderful news, Lupin is home in NS! We are into week 9 of Lupin's life - but how do I post in the 52 weeks of Lupin and how do I add photos ( if that is permitted with the free membership ) ?
I look forward to showing you what he looks like and telling you about him - but I need a little technical advice! Thanks to all for your help!

Week 9 has begun! Lupin had a 5 hour drive home from PEI. I loved meeting his breeder and parents. When I saw him I was spellbound, such beauty! His colour is like the PEI soil, slightly lighter perhaps, and if I succeed here, there may be a photo of the PEI soil and a few of Lupin too!
He dozed in the car but opened his eyes at every road bump and soon snuggled on his own into his soft carrier beside me. Family arrived to meet him once home, and grandkids frolicked with him the next day. He knows how to sit on command already! He whimpers and yelps when I am out of sight, which has not been for long yet. I am hoping he learns to self nurture for a little while soon!
This is such a blessing and I am thrilled with him. I have him on a mix of kibble and raw, and he likes bone broth too. He potties on the pads and sometimes outside, but I realized I cannot always tell when he pees outside because he is too young to lift his leg.
What a cuddly pup, he has a very direct gaze and gentle nature, and is so soft and snuggly. I am in love for sure! Hope this posts okay -I will write again in week 10 - he is only 8 weeks and 3 days today!

What a surprise! Lupin saw flowers in the park - week 9 this week - with his name! Lupins were starting to bloom along the highway the day we adopted him on the 12th of June. He does not walk in the park yet. But he enjoyed being carried in a shoulder-strap bag and smelling interesting new things and meeting friendly people. The photo will be included later if I can resize it.
I had a long drive and ferries and hotel room stays when I picked up Fenton when he was 9 weeks. He had to fly from Texas and I met his plane in Seattle. I live on Vancouver island. Today, Fenton is 13 weeks. What a ride! Puppies! So much love, joy and work! LOL. Before you picked up Lupin, had you seen photos of him? He is stunning!
