With Bonnie I wanted more leg and here is Jazz, from the same breeder, with legs a mile long! He should be near done with his height. The growth chart still says 26 inches tall, which is on the big side. The person who trimmed him said that amount of leg was good at 8 months, but he looks like a gangly teenager. I am hoping his chest develops more in the next few months. He has good width with a handbreadth inbetween the front legs and the depth is fine, but hopefully will poke out in front more as he matures. We'll see. I gotta get more meat on the boy!
8 months is usually a "gangly" stage for most breeds except maybe the toys....they appear to be all legs and usually need more weight. I wouldn't worry about Jazz's chest, it's awesome he already has the depth. It sounds like he has a pretty nice front, the fore chest should come with time.

I would wonder if he won't grow a little more. 8 months is still young. But who knows? 25" is a really nice size.

He's looking great! The trim is lovely. He has a pretty face. I'm sure he will not mind the extra food. If he is really leggy, he will still look leggy as an adult, but those types of poodles are great to put stylish trims on. I just wish Leroy had better hair for it. Leroy is back to eating kibble for now. He eats 3 cups a day with a spoonful of wet food mixed in, sometimes he regulates himself and skips breakfast or dinner.

Thank you. I love his black, too. It's nice in person, but so hard to get a picture of! That last picture was pretty close to his color, so I posted it. It's kind of a shiny black. He has a bunch of water drips on his nose that beaded up, but I guess you can't see that.

38 weeks-

It's official. The small dog people are worried about my boy:

That's a very good thing. He is sweet and wouldn't hurt a fly, but he is certainly becoming much bolder! He graduated to the big dog park side today and did well- tail up and said hi to strangers left and right!

I had more than one person ask about his haircut. It does look weird with this big lump at his ribcage. If it is brushed and smoothed perfectly it is a coolio wedge. If I let it go he curls up and has a lump.

Crest teeth!
