I have a five month old female spoo. She weighed 32 lbs at the vet two weeks ago, so is probably 35 lbs now ? I'm feeding her Nutri source PureVita chicken & brown rice. The bag says for a 30 lb dog to feed 2 cups per day and 3 cups for a 40 lb dog. I've been feeding her about 3 1/2 cups per day for the last few weeks. She eats all of her food (1 1/2 cups am and pm and 1/2 c at noon) and licks the bowl clean and always seems to want more. I read it's not good to over feed, so am wondering if I should cut back. I've had two standards before and they self-regulated with no problems. She gets lots of activity and is not fat-- vet said she was 'just right'. Also, this is an adult food, should I be feeding her a puppy formula ? You all seem so knowledgable, I'll appreciate any advice. Thanks.
