Default Josie's First HIKE!
Hello Everyone! So here are some pictures of Josie's first official hike! She had a lot of fun and didn't get too dirty. I learned that it is much better to wear the puppy out and then photograph her towards the end rather than try to do it at the beginning of the hike when her nose never leaves the ground! You can see some evidence of her ground sniffing by the red clay stuck to her nose! Josie is now just over 14 weeks old and weighs 8.6 lb. She looks like a full grown dog in the photos but the picture of her by the plant helps put her size in more perspective. She is scheduled to get her first haircut since leaving the breeders this Friday so there should be more pictures of her with her new trim. Appreciate all the kind comments and advice when I first brought Josie home! Hope you enjoy this set of pictures too. It's always great to hear from everyone.

Wow! Great pics! She's such a little beauty. She has a really nice coat ...are you just going to get a puppy clip? Or more? I personally love 'fluffy'!Haha!

It's funny you ask that! If you like fluffy you should see her now! I took her on another hike today. She walked about 1.6 miles and I carried her the rest of the way. Anyways, I wanted to take more pictures of her in these beautiful leaves. She managed to find a muddy puddle underneath the leaves and dug and threw up mouthfuls of leaves into the air. Her face and paws were covered in black tar-like mud. Anyways, I was forced to give her a bath even though the groomer is scheduled for tomorrow. She looks huge and she is just this tiny little dog. She must have two inches of fur everywhere. So if you like fluffballs you would love her right now!!!!

Travis, I think you got the perfect dog for you! She looks like she will really adapt to your active lifestyle and she is BEAUTIFUL! Love the photos, can hardly wait to see her after her first groom!
