As to the neutering... I was told that 7 months is not bad thing or a factor in any bone or health problems so I'm just trying to get the worry out of the way. Is there anything I should be aware of to wait a little longer? I can extend it for sure.

I am by no means an expert and I am sure others will chime in but from what I understand it is best to wait until they finish growing and the growth plates begin to close. There are also health benefits to waiting but Ill let the experts explain.

FWIW, Chagall was neutered at 6+ mos on the advice of my vet. I have since changed my thinking, after doing some more reading, and would now delay until at least 1 yo, as his breeder suggested.

So confused.... but no harm in waiting until I do research.

Won't a male get Alpha like qualities and become harder to train?

I had all mine neutered at 6 months... My vet (and breeders) recommended that age for my crested's...

We just had to wait until he "dropped". As the vet laughingly said at an earlier visit, There is nothing to neuter yet" lol
But Max was 8 months and he was neutered this Tuesday.
