I dream of some day living somewhere the dogs can run outside free without a leash....
Your two look terrific! I like dude's clean face and Daisy looks like a ball dog for sure.

So good to see your dynamic duo starting off the New Year looking so well! I think of what life was like for Daisy not that long ago, and look at her now; WOW! And Duke, well he is just da' man, the vibe he gives off is so sweet! So tell me, was one of their New Year's Resolutions "no counter surfing"? And if so, how's it going?? Glad you've been happy holiday busy, nice to see you posting.

Our neighborhood is only two, short culdesacs. there's only one way in/out so there is only local traffic for the ~20 homes here. we have a very dog-friendly neighborhood and they all like to play with each other. i don't let the dogs free unless i'm with them, but fortunately they are the type of dogs that stay with us
when we go out and walk around. its wonderful!

i'm happy to report that the counter-surfing has been non-existent for the last week or so. i think we've finally got the house to the point where there is nothing tempting in the areas they have access to when we are gone. plus, we got some toys and cow hooves for them in case they feel the need to mess with something while we're gone. so far its working!!!! thank goodness, because i was getting really frustrated and feeling like a prisoner because i wasn't wanting to leave unless absolutely necessary for fear of them messing something up!

Beautiful pair! Our dogs are also lucky in that our property is large and fully fenced! But at this time of the year the cranes are nesting and some already have chicks, so off the property they have to be on leash.

Excellent news! You are a very smart woman to outsmart two spoos. Others with "surfers" will be inspired, for sure. Less stress, improved safety, happily occupied poodles; way to go, all of you!!
