So today I caught our ever-hungry Beau trying to sneak under LEUllman's arm to try and get to his sandwich! He uses that tactic a lot, actually, but for once I had my phone with me to capture the moment.



I managed to get another funny shot a few minutes later, while poor Beau tried to get at the empty plate and probably wished he were a Standard so he could reach!



He's so funny- he tries to go after any food, even if it's something I've tried to give him before and he "rejected"! (Except raspberries. He dislikes those so much he doesn't even care when we eat those. ) And it's not like we don't give him plenty to eat...

That is SO much like Riley! He pushes his head under our arms too to try and get food! And if I leave a plate sitting like that he will whine and whine until I take it and put it away...that's the ONLY way he will believe it's REALLY all gone!

There is no such thing as NOT sharing with a Poodle....all you can do is hope to train them to 'beg nicely'(HAHAHA!!!)

I believe you when you say Beau gets enough to eat. I guess he just can't resist sandwiching his way into the food zone. You know something, I don't have to be hungry to eat either!!

The thing is, Beau never gets anything when he pokes his head under my arm like in the photo. But if I stare at him for a minute, he quickly backs off and sits down oh-so-pretty, and stares right back with those big, beautiful dark eyes. Anyone with a poodle knows how devastatingly cute "the look" can be, and Beau is a master. He might not be the best-trained poodle on the forum, but he knows exactly when and how to behave to extract the maximum tribute from his human family.

Oh goodness, yes, that's exactly what Beau does! He was whining on and on at our popcorn this evening, and he doesn't even really like popcorn!

Hahah, indeed! I've been so used to sharing my cereal with him-- I usually eat it on my bed so he sits right in front of me and stares me down while I eat it- no pressure!-- that it's going to be very strange going back to school and not having anyone to, ah, clean the dish after I'm done...

LEUllman actually gave me a little poodle beanie baby to take with me to remind me of Beau. But a blankie would be even better. The problem is, I'm not sure how I'd get anything Beau likes away from him to bring with me. He has a habit of plopping down right on top of all the comfy blankets in the house.
