Hello and a late merry Christmas!
Yesterday was a big day for me, I finally went to visit my future Moyen (Medium, big mini) poodle pup James. Tomorrow he'll be 6 weeks old.
I have been looking forward to this day for a very long time! I was planning ahead since late september.
I arrived yesterday while the pups were sleeping, a big pile of white fluff making the cutest puppy sleepy noises I have ever heard.
I had a little chat with the breeder (an elderly couple with about 40 years of breeding experience) and then it was time for me to cuddle with the puppies.
I told the breeder I was looking for a slightly larger pup (I want to do all different kinds of sports with him and a slightly larger dog will fit that plan better) and there are 2 larger pups in the litter, both about 2200g or 4lb 13.603oz
They were both adorable! Such cute little faces!
The pups were a bit tired, they already had a visitor that day.
One of the two bigger pups was a bit more active than the other (probably because the previous visitor had a preference for a smaller dog) and I felt really drawn to him. He was jumping all over his brothers and sisters trying to get them to play with him. And that's what I want!
It was really hard for me to choose a pup because they were so tired so the breeder said I don't have to choose until they are 8 weeks old and he'll monitor the pups to see which one would be the best pup for me.
I hope to bring him home on the 9th of January, that's a wednesday and I have every thursday and friday of from school so that would give me enough time to get him settled before I go to class on monday and he stays home with my mom and the other dogs.
This is a picture of the more active pup
And here's one of me with that same pup (I really did like him best)
And an other one with the two bigger pups
And an other one
My mom took quite a few pictures of me with the pups
And one more sleepy puppy picture
I also shot some video, I removed the sound because of the birds in the background.
Here's the link:
I can't wait until the day I get to bring him home!
