Not really on top - they usually stay on second or third floor, upper floors are cats area

How in the world did you teach your cats and poodle not to devour your rats?

I had a hamster, Ben, that my oldest cat would play with when he was a young kitten. But when he was around 4 mouths old, he flipped Ben on his back and went for his throat. I was able to pry them apart, but I never let them play together after that. Poor Ben!

I love rats as pets. I had a bunch when I was a kid. One was named Fifi and she would come to her name and I taught her tricks. Rats are cool (now you make me want a rat again). Love your tree!

I use clicker training with dogs - firstly I click only look on rat, slowly I move to the nose touch on rat.

To the cats we used to show the rats holding rats in our hands, so they know that rat is sometning like human finger
