Easy to see it's great fun and oh so good to be one of your poodles, or children, they all radiate happiness! The new life you've given Daisy is sensational, her "before and after" you is nothing short of remarkable. I'm well convinced Daisy and Duke were made for one another, and for your family. Hope all goes well with her surgery and recovery.

Quick question---this girl stays with you? You are so lucky. if my boy was off-leash, he would simply bolt off. :-(
Yes, she does! They both do. I'll let them get a little ahead of me but as soon as they get out of my comfort zone, I call them back.
When I'm going to do some off-leash time, I always carry treats and make sure they know I have them (and that they are extra yummy). As soon as we get out of the car-even while they still on leash- I start calling their names and giving them tiny treats when they come. I keep doing that the whole time, spreading out the length of time and the distance they are from me each time.
Dude is 5 and Daisy 6- so maybe their age helps in this regard as well. I was pretty amazed at how well Daisy sticks with me. I could actually tell from the moment we got home that she was not going to be a wanderer. In fact, if you'll recall the first thread I started about her, I noticed that she stuck with her owner the whole time we were there regardless of whether he was giving her attention or not.
