She will be 1 next month. She is standing beside the step over gate by the front door -- the gate that is supposed to stop her getting out -- but which she has now discovered she can jump over! So we are in the process of getting a taller gate for here.
She doesn't really have little tiny eyes, I am going to have to thin the hair out on her face. I like long hair on her face, but not to the extent that she can't see!
I will think about what to do with her ears etc when it warms up a bit. Its still 23 below here and I figure she needs all that hair right now!
Its funny how some of them figure out that I really can jump this thing and others never do. My first spoo never jumped a baby gate in his life. But our second one was 4 years old when we got him and he already knew that they were no problem to jump. In fact there was very little he couldn't jump. Thanks to him Both Betty Jo and Jenny kn ow how to jump baby gates. It would be so much easier if they never learned lol.
I must admit that I am really paranoid about my dogs getting out onto the street. I think its because my husband is a bit careless about making sure they don't.
I am getting one of those pressure mounted gates to replace the step over one. I think it will be more convenient for guests - not having to step over - and it will also keep Lucy in.

I use a pressure mounted gate to keep the spoos in the kitchen when they are wet or muddy. It is very convenient to open and then re-insert in the door frame.
Bella i just use a 10 blade on her face now in winter- poor girl earlier this year got windburn when i used my usual 30. this weather today SUCKS.
