Default Storm going to the vet tomorrow

He's going in for his 3rd vaccination and health check... This will probably be his first time at the vet, since his breeder vaccinate her puppies herself...

When I went to make the appointment, I wanted to buy a harness, so he can be belted in the car... They told me an extra small would be OK for a mini poodle... It sort of was, but he certainly couldn't grow any bigger, so I took it back... They said he must be a very large mini... I went to another store and got the size up...

Storm was so patient, while I fitted it to him... I couldn't work out which way was smaller and which way was bigger... As I kept on adjusting it, he had to keep on trying it on... We then went for a short drive...

Dogs here in Australia needs to have a seatbelt on, or be in a carrier, which is secured....

They do? How progressive! Around here people just pop them in the back of their truck and when you walk around a truck in a parking lot, you always have to be cautious in case the truck owner's dog pops up and tries to bite you (it's happened to everyone I know! My poor sister was so startled one time she jumped backward and landed in a mud puddle, and she was wearing white jeans that day) Anyway hope you have a great visit at the vet's, I always love taking the dogs to the vet when they're going for shots or something, and not sick--it's a chance to ask questions and get someone else's opinion about your dog. Hope it goes well!

Here in Calif. you have to also have your dogs secured in vehicles, but it isn't well enforced except for dogs in back of trucks...they have to be secured or you will get a citation!
I have also vaccinated my own dogs...except for rabies which you can only have done by a vet because it's tied in to the licensing laws...

So... Storm got his last needle... He didn't even flinch, while he was eating the liver treats... It was probably 5 second later that he started to feel it... he looked accusingly at the vet, cuddled into me, and then proceeded eating a new lot of treats...

The vet was so good with him, took his time and patted him a lot, and of course lots of treats...

OT... and the vet was just as gorgeous as Storm, black curly hair, dark brown eyes, tall and slim... If I was 40 years younger.... sigh.... lol
