Default Emergency room on Christmas Day...
Woke and took Harry out of the crate and noticed his ear/side of face wet. Odd. Not urinate and if he had he be making a bad racket. Big snobby mess at corner of the crate. Took him out for morning pee/poo walk. Poor boy limping. Was so stressed. Could barely crouch to pee and poo. When got home checked his leg. No immediate pain so unlikely to be broken. Was besides myself w worry.

Had to hunt down the emergency clinic. The cost is half the price when the shift changes at 8.30am so decided to wait the 10min as arrived early. Am SGD160 poorer. Harry has a cut on his paw and has to spend Christmas with a cone. Least not a break or a sprain. Poor boy.

WHEW! So glad it's minor! It would have been awful to have to be stressed on Xmas! Poor kid...cones are no fun! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I checked him out when I got home. Three paw pads injured. Really not 100% sure when or where it happened. Could have been the kennel or on the night walk. Anyway day two in the cone. I know he is not too please to have a one but being very well behaved despite this situation.

Poor guy. Check every inch of his crate. He might have cut himself there. It seems like he would have cried on the walk if he had walked through something. :(

How sad to have had such an upsetting Christmas! At least the problem is relatively minor. I hope you figure out how it happened so you don't have future concerns. My sympathies on the expense of the emergency vet. I have come home from ours much lighter a number of times with previous pets (cats, birds). It is great that they are available though.

Awwe poor Harry :( What a way to spend Christmas and thank goodness there is always an emergency vet that you can call. Wishing Harry a speedy recovery!
