Can you search the Poodle Health Registry by pedigree or only by condition/disease?

What other pedigree and health databases do you recommend for verifying the health of a puppy or a particular pedigree?

Search PHR by name/pedigree or call name. I don't recall being able to search by disease.

In yr case, u would take the name of the parents at the various breeders yr looking at and search those names in PHR. Then go back in their ancestry and look for any disease history there.

You can search by registered name OR you can select a disease and view all dogs that have been reported to the registry as having that condition.

Hm...I can only see access to the conditons and then the option to see names with in the conditions. A bit tedious. I'll try looking again. Thanks

The easiest way to search the PHR Database is to get an account at
Poodle Health Registry Database.
Once you have that, you can search by
• name
• call name
• registration number
• color
• date of birth
• affected with a specific health issue
• parent of (a health condition)
• sibling of (a health condition)
• tested clear (for DNA tests)
• tested carrier (again, for DNA tests) and,
• hip results

There's even a multiple field search in case you're looking for all poodles named Curly who are male, black and born in 2008.
Searches are possible by entering search parameters to be found anywhere in the field, at the beginning of the field, end of field or exact matches only.

You can even select the number of generations you want displayed up to a total of 12 generations.

Oh...and if the dog you're looking for isn't in the database, just complete an Add Dog Request at the website and ask us to add the dog for you.

Easy peasy and not tedious at all, imo!
