Question Wha-a-a-a??? Where did my siggy go? The other one.

This is really weird. What happened? Originally, I had put Matisse's picture for my siggy. Then I decided to change it up and put a picture of Maurice lying on his special patch of moss between my flag stones on my patio. Well, today I popped into PF and discovered that my original siggy with Matisse is there and not the one I put up quite a little while back. I didn't do anything (that I know of) to make this happen. Any ideas? I don't mind. It's just perplexing.

I suppose the forum crashed and the admins retrieved data from an older back-up. This will be confirmed if some of the old posts are kissing.

Or, maybe the lost data was just for avatars, and you won't find any threads or posts missing, just avatars.

I'm not savvy, and I'm not even sure if there is an "apply" button to hit when you make changes - but try making the changes again, look for something to click on that means "apply" or "change" then make a test post to see if it's the way you want it to look.

I noticed on this site that when I made a change to my signature it only affected new posts, my original signature remained in older posts. Some other forums that I belong to, when you make a change to your signature, it affects all your posts, including old ones.

It did the same to mine, Pb--the siggy that is showing is the one I had before I changed it. Oh well!

This confirms waht I thought. They had to do a restore to an anterior date. Put the news sigs back in place and you won't lose them unless the system crashes again.

The one of Maurice, the 2nd one I did had been up for months so it "took." It's just that it went back to a previous one. Now, I notice it's back again to my 2nd one. LOL. I guess it was something with the forum. I thought at first maybe Matisse was messing with my computer.

Oh wait! Now I see that there's one of each on various posts...not all the same. Oh well, that's not a bad way to do it at all...Both of my darlings then, are there for all of your eyes to feast on. hahaha.

Oh no, wait! That's not it. It just switched again to all Matisse in the siggy. No Maurice to be found anywhere. Oh well. When I get time I'll fiddle with it...or not. haha. Thanks all! Silly thing!
