Default Looking for toy/mini poodle puppy food recommendation(s)

Hi all - It's been 10 years since I've had a puppy, let alone an 8 week old one that I'm picking up in 4 weeks or so. Remembering how to puppy-proof my home is hard, but choosing an optimal food for her is even harder with all the choices and gimmicks out there.

Any ideas? Nigel is on Royal Canin Poodle 30, but Madison will be too young for that...

Thx!

I use regular Blue Buffalo for both of my dogs, and there is a 40 lb difference in their weights, however, Blue Buffalo does have a Small Breed variety in their line.

Thanks - maybe the puppy will like it. While poodles are never foo-foo dogs, my 10 year old is so picky, he turned his nose up at the Blue Buffalo. I will be giving the rest of the bag away at work. ...I know, I couldn't believe it either, having heard such rave reviews about it. Thx again!

My minis like Taste of the Wild. It is for all stages so the puppy and the 5yr old both eat it. They are not super picky though lol

I have very good luck feeding FROMM dry. There are varieties in the line, from puppy food to large breed, four-star (duck, salmon, chicken, or whitefish protein -- you can switch between these or rotate the food in the four-star group with no tummy problems or adjustment period). Good luck and congrats on your planned puppy!!!

My favorite are the Orijen and Acana brands. Both have puppy varieties.

Thanks all!

I'd post a picture of her, but in the ones I have no one can make out her features - she looks like a black blob of rolled up socks mixed in with her littermates! I can't wait to get her home...

Congrats on your new puppy, and do post pics once you have her! Love the smell of puppy breath in the morning... ;-)

Will do. I'm planning a trip to Lake George, NY a few weeks after I get her and we're taking her with us, so I should have a lot of good opportunities to get some good shots. Our 5 hour trip will probably be stretched to 7, but that's okay. The older "kids" will be staying home with a dogsitter, so I'll just have her to take care of. I will remember to keep her from looking through the windows to reduce and hopefully eliminate any car sickness episodes.

I have an 11 week old and she loves her Fromm's large breed puppy food.
