Hello :) Im a new poodle rescue owner!
Hi to all!
2 weeks ago I rescued a miniature Poodle "mix" from puerto Rico, Since he is a rescue we do not have any history but so far we think he is between 1-4 year of age and could be mixed with Bijon. He is 11 lb. so I assume that makes him miniature? I am excited to be apart of this forum to gain useful information. I would like to know if anyone has suggestions for dry food. Currently he is eating purina ONE because that was what he was getting at the rescue. I look forward to your input! Thanks

Welcome to the forum! Congratulations on your new addition. What did you name him?
Purina one isn't a great quality kibble...it could cause allergies such as ear issues or skin problems. The fillers that are used don't agree with a lot of dogs unfortunately. There are extremely useful threads here on the forum (Poodle Food section). Or just type it in the search. Most stay away from foods that aren't grain free. My apologies for not knowing how to do a link but there is a website * Dog Food Analysis * and it rates all the dog foods. Post a picture when you can! And thanks for rescuing too! |

Thank you for your input, I decided to go with Kirkland premium, grain free turkey and sweet potato it has 4 stars. Hopefully Jorge will love it!

Hi and welcome! My Cookie was a rescue as well. I thought she was mixed with something, but a DNA text came back all mini poodle! It's sort of weird not knowing their lives "before," but now we can write a new story for them!
Cookie has been a treasure for us, and after 7 months, I can't imagine life without her! |
