I was looking for common poodle health conditions when I stumbled upon this group. I am glad to have found it. I have an 8 year old standard poodle, Ty. He is pretty awesome. He has been one of the most athletic dogs I have owned. He loves running in the mountains and is never happier than when he sees me get out my bike. His longest run with the bike was 13 miles at Picketwire Canyon. He gets along with every animal I have had him near, loves to visit retirement homes and is never phased by wheel chairs or walkers. He has even helped in kid's camps to help show kids how to train dogs. I don't know many dogs who would sit, lay, stay and come 40 times an hour for different kids but he does it and LOVES IT! I am sure the hot dog pieces don't hurt.. He is starting to slow down a bit as he ages but is still the happiest and most expressive animal anyone could want.
As for me.. I work part time at the local animal shelter, pet sit and try to find time to enjoy all that Colorado has to offer including the microbrews
