Hello,

I'm a pet groomer who finally bought a poddle puppy this year. I don't have a lot of poodle clients to practice on, but I do have a standard poodle client come in about every 2 weeks in a long kennel cut. I'm not that great at it still, but I'm brave enough to try a show coat on my dog.

I got a miniature out of AKC CH'd parents. He's big, so I will probably only get one chance to show him as a puppy at 7 months old. After that, I'll just be grooming him for my ego so I can use all the wiggies I want, lol.

Seems like every time I have a question and search online I come to this site - and the answers and advice are great! So decided time to join in the fun and start learning more about taking care of my dog's coat.

Welcome to you and your silver minipoo!! What's his name? I have an over-sized silver mpoo myself, and I just recently started homegrooming him. (I am a complete amateur and he's a pet, a fabulous one, of course!) I REALLY look forward to getting to know your silver mpoo! I do hope you'll share lots of photos and grooming tips with us.

It took me a little bit to figure out how to put a photo on here. This is "Jet" at 12 weeks old. The first time I groomed him - no scissoring yet. He is 15 or 16 weeks old now and more confident on the grooming table.
