Default Future new spoo owner!

Hi Everyone!

My SPOO was just born yesterday =) Looking forward to sharing pictures, stories, advice, and getting advice as well! I'm getting a male in early april and i'm thinking of names which is so difficult. I've seen the pictures posted and everyone has such beautiful dogs!

My fiance and I went to petco today to get the bowls, and his first toy. We couldnt' help ourselves! =)

ANY ADVISE FOR A NEW SPOO OWNER IS GREATLY APPRECIATED! =)

What an exciting time you have ahead of you. I know I spent hours on this site and hours on our breeders site watching videos of our puppy to be.

I hope time passes quickly for you and you are united with your spoo baby soon!

Welcome!

I'm pretty sure I had a whole basket of toys even before my girl was born! So you've been very restrained. Any name yet?

No advice as I have a toy, but I'm looking forward to the pictures.

Smile Future new Spoo owner

Very happy for you!! I have a black male Spoo myself, he is 10 months old now- beautiful , friendly, playful - everything you want from the dog. My advice: if you never had Spoo before, try to read as much as possible now, books, this blog - everything will help. It is my opinion that Spoos are very special, very different breed of dogs. Also be prepared for a lot of grooming- it is fun, I love it. And because I started and was consistent since I got him - he learned to love it too!!!

Question Thanks everyone!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I've been reading this forum for a while now getting ideas and reading the fun stories. So far I know i'm definately doing the bell by the door for potty training, cute idea! and I'm going to skip the pee-pee pad and go right for the outside housebreaking. wish me luck! I watch a lot of Ceasar (love him) but I'm so nervous my boy will turn out hyper, nippy, and untrainable! typical fear I guess. I can't wait to post pictures!

is it ok to move the puppies crate from one room to another???? after reading the thread on whining overnight, we decided to put the crate in the bedroom at night, but keep it in the living room when we are in there. Is that ok or should it remain in the same spot so puppy won't get confused???

Thinking of the name "charcoal" for my black spoo boy.......comments/suggestions??

You are in for so much fun. My spoo is 8 months old, by the time we brought her home we had a basket full of toys, we now have some sort of a bed in every room. She's from a litter of ten puppies and never whined at night when we brought her home. Spoo's are very smart and easily trained, but learn quickly how to manipulate us!! lol It was suggested to us to take Sophie to puppy kindergarten,I'm very happy that we did take her.
Enjoy shopping for your puppy!!
