Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Casey and I love poodles!! They are loving, smart, absolutely fascinating and interesting dogs. My husband and daughter and I live in Virginia with our two cats. Recently my husband said we could add a poodle to our family and I am beyond excited. I have saved up for a long time and have been doing much research on breeders in my area. I want to give the right adult dog a forever home.

I am hoping to be a longtime member here and can't wait to find my poodle so I can show off and shower him/her with affection :)

Welcome to the forum! There's a lot of great information here. Good luck with finding a responsible breeder that health-test his/her breeding stock and provide a written contract as well as a healthy warranty. Let us know what you are looking for and I'm sure some members here can help pointing you to the right direction.

Thanks!

I appreciate the warm welcome! I have already gotten some good advice on breeders, but definitely want to take my time and get more information. Right now I have narrowed it down to Dupuy Poodles, Dalin Show, and possibly Sunridge all in Virginia. I'm looking for a mini but would consider a larger toy. And I LOVE all colors of apricots, browns, reds and black is nice too :)

When I first started looking I narrowly avoided a meeting with Elaine Geer and was tipped off by this site while researching. I trust that most of the members here are experienced poodle lovers who know their stuff!
