Default Favorite Threads?

Please forgive this stupid question. I don't know if I have even posted this in the correct place. I am new to forums and posting.

There are many threads that I think would be great for reference (for myself), and would like to save them on the forum somewhere or mark them. It would be nice to even pull out certain posts, so you skip all the stuff you don't want. Is there a way to do that?

I try to remember them, but there are so many wonderful distractions on this site I spend hours wandering around!

Thanks for the help!

The only thing I can think of along the lines of what you are looking for is the "subscribe to thread" feature. When you subscribe to a thread, you will be sent notifications of any new activity in the thread depending on the frequency of notifications you select.

Thank you. I already do that. It would be nice to be able to organize and select a few threads or posts (that may not be active any longer) and keep them handy for reference. Kind of like storing your PMs. You could go to your personal settings and pick the saved thread/post you wanted to see. Is that or could it be possible?

The reason I ask, is there have been some helpful threads on grooming or training. Things I may not ready for yet, but will be in a month or two. I didn't want to have to search through all the threads and posts to find the picture or directions I was looking for.

Thanks again!

I find the same problem, and often start a new thread, as not sure if I should add to a previous one, for instance, "Sunny Update" as I had posted lots of them, it may have made more sense to just add to the same one. Sometimes there are so many threads, posts, etc., that it gets confusing for me anyway, too. So, I just do a new thread, but that may not be the correct thing to be doing.

I haven't tried this, but when you are IN a thread you want to save, can you add it to your browser's favorites and then title it with words that will mean something to you?? I know you can organize and coordinate your browser favorites - put things into different folders, etc... Hope that helps!!

New threads are fine! There are always new people joining and they may not have seen the previous thread. Sometimes, if there is great information in an older thread, one of our more senior members may link it into a new thread on the same subject - that way everyone gets to see the good stuff!!
