Default ignore list?

What is this and how does it work? Not sure why i would want to use this feature- might be kinda rude...but curious.

on a fairly large forum i'm on we have the ignore feature. we can put people who get on our nerves on there.
it's really nice. you don't have to read what they post (unless you are curious like me and peek) or someone quotes them.
gives you a bit of peace of mind.

oh and no one knows if they are put on ignore by another member.

actually, i only have one person on ignore on my soap forum. she knows that she's on ignore because i was ignoring her comments. and someone quoted her. so i told her exactly why i had her on ignore. fortunately for me, we don't have hardly any censoring on there so i got to tell her what i thought of her. it was lovely.
then i kept her on ignore

SILVERPUP:

Yes, there is a way to block someone from your profile and thus, from viewing your pics, etc. (It's under your User Profile. Select "User CP"--then select "Profile Privacy" from menu on Left. You can also block PMs from all members; not sure if you can block specific members from sending PMs.)

I frequent other forums and I've blocked people before---it takes a lot for me to block someone and it's usually because of the manner in which they conduct themselves.

The person you've blocked has no idea you've done so. They might wonder why you're ignoring them if they continually bait you, etc. LOL It's a nice feature, especially on really large boards and isn't rude at all. Sometimes, it's necessary to maintain your sanity and keep your BP down.

The software does not allow you to block a specific user from sending you a PM.

If it tastes as good as it smells, it'll be DELISH!!

I wore my brand spankin' new "Faerie Made" t-shirt to the dog show today. I had several people ask me what it meant! I'm a walking billboard for yummy soap!!
