A picture is worth a thousand words.
No matter how long you have been around poodles you can learn something new everyday. This greeder was/is a member who posted on this forum.
Some breeders want puppy buyers to think that the puppy has black pigment as called for in the breed standard; therefore they paint/dye the puppies lips and nose at just a few days old. Note the close up picture shows the rough edges of the paint job. I wish these people could be charge with animal abuse.
I have no respect whatsoever for these greeders!

Is there a thread about the breeder in question here on the forum? Maybe you should start one...

Holy crap!! A picture is indeed worth a thousand words! This is a person who so many have defended in the past. Obviously painted pigment. So, here I have been worried if my babe's pigment if it was not perfect and apparently all I had to do was paint them.

Are people actually putting house paint on their dogs? Shoe polish?

Maybe I am missing something here, but how can you tell that from this photo? To me it just looks like a low-resolution photo, when you enlarge it everything looks ragged.

This might be a good starting point for some fact-finding. Before I personally could form any opinion about one breeder decrying an unnamed other, I too would need to know more verifiable information. Such as the name of the breeder and the source of the photos (photo-shopping is so ubiquitous today it's almost hard to believe one's eyes!). It would seem from the OP's repeat use of the word "greeder" (which I first thought to be a typo), her regard for the unnamed breeder is lower than sea level. Of course from what little has been provided, it's not possible to assess whether such a low opinion is warranted; it may or may not be.
I am fairly new to the world of poodles, having gotten my first mpoo three years ago. But I have learned things in that brief time that really set me back on my heels. Things such as "breeders" studding out their standard poodles to father Doodles, telling untruths about their poodles' health status (such as not disclosing hip dysplasia or epilepsy), having way more litters out of a bitch than generally thought advisable, and a host of other things I never would have imagined. I have also seen squabbles between breeders escalate to the point they rival those of my own then young children "trapped" in the backseat of the car during a cross-country road-trip.
LegalEagle, I don't know if law is in some way your field of study or your profession, or just a screen name, but your post brought to mind people have the right to be presumed innocent until proven guilty and to face their accusers, at least here in the U.S.A.

I agree with paddle addict. To me at first glance it looks like the light reflecting on wet lips in a poor resolution photo, nothing more.
As an amateur photographer, when I opened the thumbnail, the first thing that was glaringly apparent to me was that the colour on the photo had been adjusted, or "enhanced" which has caused the photo to become distorted from what the original version probably depicted.
Who did this? I guess we will never know. Why anyone would do this or post this without giving the "accused" the opportunity to address it? Well, I'll just let everyone form their own opinion about that.

Any of the things you have mentioned is shameful. But there is a big difference in a breeder being quite forthcoming about having allowed their stud to produce a Doodle litter and another claiming everything they do is perfect and every pup they produce perfect.
