Default advice on ovulation strips

hi all as most of you know i mated my cream miniature poodle last year but no puppies,
shes in season again and ive bought ovulatuion strips this time started on day 7 just looking for information on them please,
i let my girl to the toilet wipe her down when she comes in then i insert ovulation strip, leave it 10-15 seconds, but ive noticed since using them blood around outside of tip, i know i will get blood but is this right in what im doing do i wait then at moment no other colour was told it would go purple, shes on day 8 today last time got mated on days 10,11,12, shes not the type of girl that loses loads of blood, would strip still change colour if there is blood on there,
sorry hope this makes sense, thanks all

If you want to be certain of a pregnancy, I would have a vet do progesterone testing to be sure you have the optimum days of fertility,

the only thing i have ever heard of to use is the progestrone testing the vet does, and there is a test called fertile focus that alot of breeder friends i have in boston terriers use, but you do have to have a pretty good microscope to use it. so no i dont think the strips will do you any good, sorry
