Question Stinky Black Toy Poodle

Guido has a little stinky problem.

I'm not sure how to describe it. I groom/bath him and within a day or so later he has a musty type of odor, and its giving me sinus issues that are bothersome to me. His funny odor comes and goes but it is noticeable.

He doesn't have a rash, dry coat or dry skin.

His ears are clean. He's black so I can't see too well. But every other day I wash his little face and make sure there is no sleepy dust goo in his eyes.

From time to time he had bad breath but I give him a probiotic and it goes away.

I took him to the vet two months ago cause Guido had a bladder infection while I was there the vet said his anal glands were fine and didn't need squeezing.

Guido is a rescue that I've had for 3 or 4 months now. He's a sweet lovable dog. I just don't know his history. But when he came from the dog pound he smelled like he was in a sewer. He had a lot of goo in his eyes, had a upper respiratory infection and was neutered. But he had a very groomed poodle do, if you know what I mean. Whomever owned him had him professionally groomed before he ran away and the dog catcher picked him up.

Anyways he still maintains an odor that is a moldy sort of smell and I'm not sure what it is. Any ideas?
